I remember like it was yesterday…

I was sitting in the front room of our home crying (I had no idea why) and one of my girls asked why I never smiled anymore. Y’all 😭💔

I don’t think I took a single picture for a year. I hated how I looked, had zero energy, felt overwhelmed 24/7, brain fog and didn’t have the energy to do anything about it. I felt stuck.

Finally after being told one too many times that my labs looked fine, I decided to dive into women’s health myself.

I so badly wish someone would’ve explained to me the changes my body (and mind) would go through during perimenopause. How what worked in my 20s to stay healthy and fit was NOT the same thing that would work in my late 30s and 40s.

Now as a Board Certified Holistic Health Practitioner, my goal is to help women thrive through this season of life and understand the changes happening in their body.

I have so many other faves but could only add 20 to this post. I’ll share our other staple items in my stories and save to a highlight!

A few helpful tips I’ve learned along the way when it comes to eating clean while also being a busy mom:

✨ Have quick, healthy options available! Beef sticks, protein shakes, clean bars, bone broth, nuts, seeds, fruit, plain Greek yogurt, veggies. We all have those days where we need to grab something fast!

✨ Have fresh and frozen meats, veggies and fruits on hand to save time and money. We can easily stretch our grocery shopping trips to every two weeks now!

✨Keep it simple. Buy a ton of meat, fish, veggies, fruits, clean carbs, healthy fats and a few treats. You can whip up healthy meals in no time with minimal ingredients. It’s also ok to recycle weekly family favorites!
